Gibrill Betts

With over a decade of work experience, Gibrill Betts is the CEO and President of Sure Betts LLC. He has over 5+ years of freight brokering experience along with a strong background in sales and finance.

Mr. Betts is a Miami, FL native who, in 2002, attended Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa as a two-sport student-athlete (Football and Basketball). While attending Upper Iowa University, he was a member of Beta Phi Omega fraternity where he held the role of President for 3 years. Being a multi-sport athlete, a devoted student combined with holding leadership roles with various campus organizations, illustrates his drive and determination to be successful. In 2007, Mr. Betts graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing with a Minor in Finance; all while maintaining a 3.2 GPA and having a part-time job while in school. Mr. Betts’ work-ethic is unmatched.

After graduation, Mr. Betts began his career in Mortgage Sales working for Wells Fargo Financial in Des Moines, IA; where he was later apart of a companywide layoff during the economic crash of 2008. He would later then accept a sales role with Nationwide Insurance. After a successful year at Nationwide, Mr. Betts took his talents to Minneapolis to become a self-employed broker. Business was slow at first so he picked up second and third jobs to supplement his income. This allowed him to gain valuable skills that he later used for the next phase in his career.

Mr. Betts was soon after recruited to work for the top freight brokerage in the industry, CH Robinson, as an Account Manager. His role was to gain the business of companies who were looking to ship and/or receive freight. He had some industry knowledge because his step-father was a truck driver for over 30 years. Although he did very well, he thought that he would give the mortgage industry another shot. Boy, was he wrong. He was later laid off for a second and final time when he decided to leave the volatile industry and go back into an industry that he thought was much more stable; the transportation and logistics industry. Mr. Betts saw much success with the UPS owned company, Coyote Logistics, before having to relocate to New Jersey. His experience working for two of the industry giants, allowed him to build a wealth of knowledge and contacts through the years. 

Mr. Betts’ proven track record of success in building teams, increasing profitability, enhancing community/company engagements, is what makes Sure Betts Logistics poised to be an up and coming company in a highly competitive industry.

 


 

Natasha Betts

Natasha Betts is COO and Vice President of Sure Betts LLC. She has 15 years of experience in the business of operations and logistics, specifically in the areas of safety, staffing, training, leadership and guest service.

Mrs. Betts was born and raised in St. Paul, MN. She has three older brothers and two younger brothers. Mrs. Betts is the only girl of the six children. This family dynamic was able to instill a level of grit and resilience that most fierce competitors have. That along with her undeniable grace and compassion for others, is what shaped her to become a beloved and well-respected leader. She played sports throughout her childhood and through high school (Track & Field and Ice Hockey) where she still holds school records for track & field. After graduating high school in 2002, Mrs. Betts was recruited to play college hockey at The University of North Dakota. Shortly after her freshman year, Mrs. Betts left the University of North Dakota to continue her education at Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. She then relocated back to St. Paul, MN continued her education all while being a full-time mother and working part-time.

She began her career at Mall of America, a Triple Five owned property located in Minneapolis, MN in 2004. While there, she advanced within the company into theme park management. During her journey, she was instrumental in developing several different departments including foods, retail, guest services, housekeeping and amusement rides and attractions. She has been in the park manager role for the last 6 years and was recently promoted to Director of Attractions at another Triple Five owned property, American Dream, New Jersey.

During her time at Mall of America, Mrs. Betts managed a department of up to 200 staff members, and oversaw the operations of 28 rides and attractions. She collaborated with several different departments to host large scale events, such as high school proms, private buyouts for professional sports teams, filming of commercials and movies, and Superbowl related media and events.

Mrs. Betts was recognized as Team Member of the Year in 2007, and received the Emerging Leader Award in 2015. She trained at Amusement Industry Manufacturers and Suppliers (AIMS) seminar where she received her Ride Operator Certification. She has also completed the Disney Institute Training, certifying her in the areas of Business Excellence, Employee Engagement, Quality Excellence, and Leadership Excellence. 

Mrs. Betts’ expertise in managing day to day operations makes her the most valuable asset to Sure Betts Logistics. It’s not just about her ability to strategically plan, its more about her tactful approach and execution that makes her a great leader.
